Have you ever noticed that you are in constant chase with time ? And that you do everything else, but for your own sake – NOTHING? Or just a small portion of it?
Well, it is about time to end this endless circle and create more of MY TIME space. It isn’t selfish, it is a way to show you love yourself.
Doing everything at the same time and practicing multitasking can literally drain you out, and with some reorganization, you can learn how to manage your own time differently. Multi-tasking can also overload your brain leading to stress, forgetfulness and a weak immune system. And no one wants any of that!
1.How To Create “My Time”
Simplifying your life can create an extra portion in your day just for yourself. Try these tips and tricks on lowering down stress, and ensuring you have more quality “My Time” for things you really….really enjoy.
It is good if you occasionally ask your family, friends or colleagues to do some things for you. By doing this, you’ll feel less resentful for everything you do. You may find it hard at first, but you’ll notice that you have more space for yourself.
3.Learn To Say NO
Saying NO is the most effective method of re-gaining time and energy again. It is not a shameful thing to do if some activities drain you off. People should understand and value your time as well.
When you slow down a bit, your mind will slow down as well, and you will start seeing things more clearly. “Put yourself together”. Start with organizing with small things like: a place for your keys or eye-glasses.
Or, at work, you should clear your desk from all small unnecessary papers. File everything away. You will not have the anxiety within of things getting postponed.
It is good if you make a list for a bulk shopping, instead of small home shopping. In such way, you will save more time instead of running back and forth to buy everything you need from time to time. You’ll preserve more energy for yourself and make space for enjoyable things to do more.
6.Check Your Inbox
Check your inbox on a regular basis for a reason not to create tons of e-mails that are unread and unanswered,and are time consuming. Prioritize.
Instead of going to the Bank to pay your bills, file for e-banking. It i so much easier to do and it is less time consuming. Or, alternatively, most bills can be paid automatically by direct debit – it only takes minutes to set them up.
Try, and you’ll see the benefits that I am talking about.
Today, as technology is blooming-you can now buy literally anything on the internet – books, toys, cosmetics, clothes, groceries, computers, furniture, flights, tickets for concerts – and all at the click of a mouse.This kind of shopping will save you some precious minutes.
Don’t let yourself always running out of petrol, candles, light bulbs and small home stuff. Start to create reserves. For example, don’t wait until the petrol tank is empty. Fill it up when it hits half way, buy in bulk and see how it feels to have more than enough.
9.The Big Five
At the beginning, take five minutes to do what is pleasurable for you. Then start increasing the minutes to 10,15 and try to reach up to an hour.
Before you know it, you will make time to do whatever you want to do, and you’ll be more relaxed and more productive in other areas of your life.
10.Closing The Computer
Watch out not to become computer addicted. Set time for stopping of all your projects. Don’t let yourself fell asleep on your computer still doing tasks.
Just say to yourself for once that-at 6pm you will stop and start working again tomorrow.
Learn yoga breathing and you’ll see it’s calming effect it has on you. It brings oxygen to your brain which clarifies your thoughts and minds, and energizes you to plan your day more efficiently.
Take a look at your weekly tasks and see if you can cut them back a bit, so you can spend the extra time gained doing something healthy – like going for a walk, or cycling.
Do you ever long for some time for yourself?
Many of us are so busy with work, school, and home life, and often there is no time left over to do something that you really enjoy.
You must find a way to carve out that essential time you need to slow down, enjoy life, and rejuvenate yourself and be happy.
13.Evenings Just For You
Try to keep certain weeknights just for you. If others ask you to get together on those times, just tell them you have plans. Use the time for reading, gardening, exercise, thinking, or the luxury of DOING NOTHING!
Schedule a treat for yourself at least once a month. It could be on your lunch break, or on a weekend. Maybe you can get a spa treatment, see a movie, have a haircut, or whatever treat you’re always thinking about but rarely get to.
Schedule and it will happen! Love yourself.
15.Leave Work On Time
How many times you have worked long hours? And, did you find yourself burned out the next day and not being capable of doing anything at all?
Yes, poor concentration and lack of productivity are the forthcoming results. Don’t overdo. It will burn you out!
For busy people it can be difficult to make time for this. But, you know what? You can do it! All you have to do is decide today, and then make it a reality tomorrow.
Create a new habit.Take that first step tomorrow. Walk for 30 minutes in the morning and build on that success daily.
Spend that time differently. On some days use the time for thinking and daydreaming. Other days listen to motivational audio and on days you want a real boost, listen to your favorite music.
Go chillin’ !
17.Time Away From Kids
Yes, you are a busy parent but you need the time off occasionally. If you don’t reboot, you won’t find the strength to carry on. You will feel exhausted all the time and you will start unwillingly fulfilling your tasks.
Organize Mom Circle
If you have a friend or group of friends, you could arrange to share babysitting services a few times a month, so that others in the group get some time alone. It is good thing to do for everyone involved.
Make a plan to have a babysitter that you trust to watch your children once a month, or once a week, so you can get some time for yourself.
The key here is to take action and make it happen. If you want more space for yourself, you can get it. Just don’t be afraid to ask.
Gym With Babysitting Service
Find a gym that offers good childcare so you can take a yoga class, to do some aerobics training, or even work with a personal trainer.
Prior this decision, make sure you fully research the safety of their childcare program first though. Get some references first an then act.
