20 Ways How To Deal Better With Loneliness

Dealing With Loneliness

Occasionally we all have to cope with loneliness sometimes. Reason or no reason for it, it just strikes you when at least expected.

It usually does when you are going through some deep life changing process where you have to deal with some kind of loss: a parent, a partner, a friend, separation with your children while going on a college etc.

As there are many reasons that can make you feeling lonely, the question imposed here is how to deal with loneliness when it hits you all of a sudden?

Well, there are many ways to deal with it and here we will present some of them based on people experiences.

1.Discover The Reasons For It

First of all, you should try to analyze which are the reasons that brought you to this state.

Is it a separation, family distance, or maybe your career path where you have found many friends and enemies too?

Sometimes, success knows to be a lonely path by itself, forcing you to find inner strength for all sorts of obstacles down the road (and they’re always a bumpy ones).

But, don’t fall emotionally.

It is a perfectly normal process that almost everybody is going through when the load over shoulders becomes too heavy to bear.

When you determine the reasons for these feelings, it is easier to work on them trying to resolve everything that has put you down.

It would be a good thing if you have someone you can confide to, or, if you don’t want to share your emotions with no one, at least do it with a professional therapist.

Don’t keep everything inside as it is not healthy for your mental clarity. Share your thoughts, or even write a diary and see why it is healthy thing to do.

2.What Being Lonely Means To You

For me, it isn’t such a bad feeling.

I do want to get some solitude periods where I seek answers to many questions, or I contemplate deep within to find problem solutions if any.

Having a short time period of loneliness within the day(or by the end of the day), gives you a possibility to reboot your mental system back to work with a full steam.

At least it is a case with me. I really need at least 1 h of solitude to “digest” the day. It really gives me the mental clarity I need so I can move on.

Don’t worry, being a semi or full time introvert is not defining you as anti-social person.

You just need “your time” for a while, so you can function better later.

3.The Human Need To Be Connected

People are social beings that have natural need to be connected. Why?

  • We need each other
  • We learn from each other
  • We go forward exchanging experiences
  • We grow accepting differences between us
  • We rise spiritually and connect on a more deeper level than you can realize
  • We all come from the same matter and are in union with the life on this Earth
  • The sooner you realize this, the better for you it will be

Don’t stay to long in a period of loneliness, as you impose both physical and mental health at risk.

So, you better do something about it, quickly!

4. No – Don’t Put The Blame On Yourself !

Why blaming yourself?

It is not your fault being in this state of loneliness.

A you already know, modern living tend to create more lonely people that you can ever imagine.

A divorce, separation, changing jobs, new surroundings, rise of single parent homes is something which you’ll meet everyday.

As you can see, you are not the only one on this path, so, why would you put a blame on yourself?

5. Join Some Good Cause Community

Joining a cause based community is a good way to meet new people and gain some new life experiences.

Doing something worthy will make you feel much better, knowing that your volunteer work may bring help to someone in need.

Volunteering has been proved as a great antidote to loneliness.

Give more and you’ll receive more.

6. Join A Sport Club

By joining a gym, yoga or running club, you create a path for you to meet new people, and make connections with those who share similar interests as your.

Hiking clubs are also great for the matter, as they organize out of town trips, where a group of unknown people bond among each other.

One can lead to another, and maybe a true love (or a friend) is waiting for you out there.

Who knows…

7. Discover Your Empath Characteristic

If you have natural born desire to help people, then it defines you as an empathic person. There is no better feeling when you know that you have helped someone in need.

If you are in position to help – do it!

If you are financially well settled – donate!

Helping others in need is simply an amazing form of intimate connection, that for sure will reduce feelings of isolation.

8. Money Won’t Help You

Do you know that the richest people are the loneliest ones?

Money can’t always buy a true love or friends.

The only thing you can get here is a bunch of people who are faking true friendship, so they can gain something from you, such as social status or money benefit.

Filling the gap of loneliness with material things isn’t going to lead you anywhere.

Let’s see:

You feel miserable and you’ve decided that a good shopping will fill the void inside. You went for a shopping and spent few, or thousands of dollars on a new clothes, gadgets, furniture etc.

Did you feel better and fuller?

Yes, maybe, but for a short period of time.

But the void was still there, wasn’t it?

Don’t get fooled.

Money can’t get you out of loneliness.

It just disguise it well.

9. Use Social Media Wisely And In Moderate Way

The new age brought a new way of socializing: social networks.

But, don’t get so crazy with it, as you don’t want to end up all day on a computer or a mobile, chatting with “social friends”.

Rather have live chat.

Person to person.

There is nothing better than a real, eye to eye conversation.

Why I am saying this?

Because the minute you log off, you’ll end up all alone – AGAIN.

Definitely, you need something steadier for you to cope and get out of your period of loneliness faster.

And don’t wait for someone to drag you out of there.

It is your own battle where you should put much effort on your own.

Snap out of it and do it faster!

social loneliness

10. Be Kind To People

You should always be kind to people, especially elders.

Giving your best attention to others, creates a warm and high-lifted heart feeling that you’ll maybe feel for the first time.

Sharing your love and kindness isn’t a curse – it is a blessing.

You know the old saying: If you want to have loving feelings today, then do loving things…

11. Find or Return To Your Hobbies

Often more, when people get stuck at some period in life such as loneliness, and while seeking their way out, they analyze themselves more.

While being in that process, they often return to the things that made them happy such as long forgotten hobbies. Some start to paint, bake, cook, neat, write, do some carpenter stuff, play musical instrument etc.

And some, seek for new ways of inner fulfillment, trying to find a brand new hobby.

Some people travel, some start a blog, learn new languages and so on.

The point here is that, having a hobby is a good way to fill the void inside, leading you to a slow and healthful way of healing.

Activate yourself!

Don’t snooze!

12. Change Some Habits

If you were a long-timer at practicing bad health and life habits, maybe this period of loneliness you are going through might turn out to be a good and positive thing for you.

As you will start analyzing yourself and the habits you have, you just might change your overall being, starting a new page and writing a new chapter in your life.

If this happens, then, bless this short-term loneliness as it brought you to making some good life choices, decisions and directions.

Finally, something good came out of this…

13. Keep A Diary

We have already had a post suggesting why this is a great thing to do and you can read all about it here.

14. Declutter Your Home

This is good base to start.

Look around.

Do you see a mess, or a clean, neat and tidy looking home. If this is not the case with you, than, you need to seriously consider doing some changes.

Declutter your home.

The only way to start decluttering your life is to declutter your home.

  • Plan it thoughtfully and act fast
  • Throw away or donate your stuff if they are in good shape
  • Make your home to be a breathing space and not a suffocating one
  • Feel the energy flow the minute you un-block it

…And enjoy the airy feeling prevailing

Do you see the difference?

15. A Quick Look Back

Looking back doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad thing.

The positivity coming out of it is to make a quick check on all the good and bad decisions you’ve made, old and new friendships, some detours in life, even what was worthy and what was not.

If looking back can lead you to a brighter future, then do it. Just don’t fall in self-pitting trap that usually occurs when starting the process.

Look back, harvest the goods and move on!

16. If You Work From Home

Remote work by using your home as a base, can be entirely lonely experience because there you are : you and your laptop.

If you want to avoid that feeling, you can always rent a spot in some office, creating a co-worker environment.

Also, you can try to do some work at cafe places, as they can be inspiring for the work you are doing – especially if you are blogging.

Change the surrounding occasionally.

Breathe a new inspiring fresh air once in a while.

17. Love Yourself

Be your best friend.

Staying grounded during this process will highly motivate to move on, and leave that place of solitude you fell in accidentally.

Pamper yourself.

Treat your soul.

See the slow rise above and enjoy the feeling of independence!

18.Un-meaningful Romance Isn’t The Cure

Don’t jump headless in too many meaningless relationships just to fill the emptiness within. At the end, you will end up more hurt than before.

If you decide you need a new romance, at least do it slowly and if you find any acceptable partner – develop the story.

19. Get  Some Live Socializing

Go to events.

Go to see the latest movie.

Go to theater.

Go to see a basketball match.

Go to a gallery.

Step out of your comfort zone by simply showing up wherever you can, and invite someone to come along. Meeting new people will do only good for you.

Get out from your home.

20. Host A Party

This the best way to cheer yourelf up.

Invite, friends, friends of friends, neighbors, co -workers, family members…and have a great time.

Final Word

As you can see, being lonely isn’t something you should run away from at any cost, but use that period to determine directions in life and improvements of your well-being.

At the end, a little soul searching hasn’t hurt anyone, don’t you think?

Common Concussion Symptoms You Shouldn’t Ignore

What Is Concussion

The most common concussion symptoms can appear with all sorts of head injuries, and they can happen almost to anyone.

Yes, no matter if it is a toddler who fell off from a bench in the park, or elders because they lost their balance and fell directly on their head, they’re all prune to this.

If this has happened, you should always look for concussion symptoms, but before you do, you should educate yourself about it so you can recognize them sooner and take action.

Concussions are also something that cross all sports and both genders, and oftentimes these injuries can have very deleterious effect if not managed correctly.

What is concussion?

concussion is a brain injury sustained by a blow either to the head or to the body, resulting in traumatic unnatural forces being applied to the brain.

It is not a “bruise” to the brain and it is however a traumatic injury.

Each concussion appears to be unique and individual, and the overall severity of a concussion is determined by how many, and which symptoms the person is experiencing, the intensity of the symptoms, and how long they last.

Concussion Symptoms

There are many signs and symptoms of concussion, but these are the most common which you should be really aware of.

They fall into four  categories:

  • Thinking and Remembering
  • Physical
  • Emotional and
  • Sleep disturbances

When you experience a head blow, most often doctors look for concussion symptoms such as:

  • Difficulty thinking clearly
  • Feeling and being slowed down
  • Difficulty to concentrate
  • Difficulty to remember information(especially new info)
  • Mild or severe headache
  • Symptoms of nausea or vomiting
  • Balance problems
  • Dizziness
  • Ringing in the ears
  • Fuzzy or blurry vision
  • Fatigue (Lack of energy)
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Sensitivity to noise
  • Irritability
  • Sadness
  • More emotional than usual
  • Nervousness or anxiety
  • Sleeping more or less than usual
  • Trouble falling asleep, or
  • Sleep Disturbance if any

Other Concussion Symptoms

A person that just had a head blow and possible concussion, should be checked by a health care professional as soon as possible.

If you’re in a position to help, call an ambulance as soon as possible.

And in case you’re the one having this injury, PLEASE don’t rely solely on your own assessment for concussion signs you have.

They may get worse and you definitely need reevaluation from a doctor.

This is something you shouldn’t fool with, as it may affect seriously your brain health.

Trouble Of Staying Alert

If you had a head trauma and you’re not fully oriented within at least 30 minutes, it should start the “alarm”.

The Mayo Clinic explains that some concussion symptoms may not show up immediately. However, the victim should be monitored for signs of confusion, amnesia and delayed responses to questions.

There are situations when some concussions may cause losing your consciousness, and some of them don’t, and there are also cases where it is possible to have a concussion and not realize it at all.

Concussions are particularly common when playing a contact sport, such as football.

Ear Bleeding

When you have a possible concussion, you may have an ear bleeding, but if you’re not sure there’s been a direct injury to the ear, either way you should get yourself checked.

Blood dripping from an ear could be a signal of a serious skull fracture that has damaged a blood vessel, or even the lining around the brain.

Go to the doctor immediately.

Irregular Pupil Dilation

If your pupils are normal, it doesn’t mean you don’t have a serious head injury.

In case they’re clearly unequal or don’t response equally to light, that could be a potential sign of expanding pressure on the brain, and this condition requires immediate medical attention.

If you notice that fluid is flowing from the nostrils or ears, and especially if it is clear, it could be from a tear in the lining around the brain that holds in the cerebrospinal fluid.

Concussion Symptoms In Children

Head trauma is very common in young children, but concussions can be difficult to recognize in infants and toddlers because they can’t describe how they feel.

However, the most common concussion symptoms children have are:

  • Being dazed
  • They are tired easily
  • Irritability and crankiness episodes
  • Loss of balance and unsteady walking
  • Excessive crying episodes
  • Changes in eating and sleeping patterns
  • Lack of interest in their favorite toys

When To See A Doctor

You should definitely see a doctor if within 1 – 2 days when you or your child have experienced a head injury, even if emergency care isn’t required.

This is just in case and to make sure everything is OK.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that you call your child’s doctor for anything more than a light bump on your child’s head.

If your child doesn’t have signs of a serious head injury, remains alert, moves normally and responds to you, the injury is probably mild and usually doesn’t need further testing.

In this case, if your child wants to nap, it’s OK to let him or her sleep.

If worrisome signs develop later, seek emergency care.

Seek an emergency care in case of:

  • Repeated vomiting
  • A loss of consciousness lasting longer than 30 seconds
  • A headache that gets worse over time
  • Behavior changes, such as irritability
  • Changes in physical coordination, such as stumbling or clumsiness
  • Confusion or disorientation, such as difficulty recognizing people or places
  • Slurred speech or other changes in speech

Risk Factors Of Getting Concussion

Activities and factors that may increase your risk of a concussion include:

  • Falling, especially in young children and elders
  • Participating in a high-risk sport (football, hockey, soccer, rugby, boxing or other contact sport)
  • Participating in high-risk sports without proper safety equipment and supervision
  • Being involved in a motor vehicle collision
  • Being involved in a pedestrian or bicycle accident
  • Being a soldier involved in combat
  • Being a victim of physical abuse
  • Having had a previous concussion

Possible Complications

Potential complications of concussion include:

  • Post-traumatic headaches
  • Post-traumatic vertigo
  • Post-concussion syndrome
  • Cumulative effects of multiple brain injuries
  • Second impact syndrome

When it happens, concussion changes the levels of brain chemicals. It usually takes about a week for these levels to stabilize again, but recovery time varies.

If this has happened to athletes, it is important for them never to return to sports while they’re still experiencing signs and symptoms of concussion.

Prevention From Concussions

In case you’re thinking how to prevent them and minimize your risk of head injuries, these tips may come quite helpful:

Wear protective gear during sports and other recreational activities

Make sure the equipment fits properly, is well-maintained and worn correctly. Follow the rules of the game and practice good sportsmanship.

Always wear protective headgear when bicycling, motorcycling, snowboarding or engaging in any recreational activity that may result in head injury.

Wearing a seat belt may prevent serious injury, including head injury, during a traffic accident.

Make your home safe

Keep your home well-lit and and get rid of anything from the floor that might cause you to trip and fall. Most falls around the home are a leading cause of head injury.

Protect your children

Block off stairways and install window guards, in order to lower the risk of head injuries to your children.

Exercise regularly

It is highly recommended to exercise regularly, so you can strengthen your leg muscles and improve your balance.

Educate others about concussions

Help whenever you can to spread awareness about concussions and it’s consequences if they’re not treated well, including coaches, athletes, parents and others.

Knowing how to prevent them, or how to react on time may save precious lives and brain health whatsoever.

It is always better to prevent it, rather than cure it!

Worst Foods For Teeth – Everything You Need To Know!

Which Are The Worst Foods For Teeth

Not every food consumed is good for your health or your teeth, therefore, you really need to know which are the worst foods for your teeth you need to avoid, and keep your oral health at check.

Yes, what you eat MATTERS!

Citrus Intake

As you may already know, frequent exposures to acidic foods can erode tooth enamel, making your teeth prune to decay over time.

Lemon and orange juice may have so many health benefits, but they’re not always the best choice for your mouth. Citric fruits and juices can also irritate mouth sores, which is one week nightmare to deal with.

Even though you can’t detach from this habit of yours, at least make sure to drink plenty of plain water afterwards and flush your mouth.

A tooth’s worst nightmare is combination of veggies and vinegar. Pickles are tasty to have them on a sandwich, but the combination of acidic vinegar and sugar, is a recipe for enamel erosion.

What are dental erosion and dental enamel?

Dental erosion is the breakdown of tooth structure caused by the effect of acid on the teeth.

Dental enamel is the thin, outer layer of hard tissue that helps maintain the tooth’s structure and shape while protecting it from decay.

And you know what?

This is something you don’t want to mess with. Dentist offices charge a lot, therefore, try to protect your teeth as much as possible if you don’t want to end up with thin wallet.

worst foods for teeth

Red Wine

Every now and then a glass of red wine won’t hurt, and even studies have shown that every once in a while it can be good for the heart and cholesterol levels.

Unfortunately, the expression “wine teeth” says it all.

Why it falls in category worst foods for teeth?

Well, because this flavorful purplish beverage can stain teeth quite easily, and the acidity can wear down the surface of teeth and leave stains.

Having red teeth isn’t such fun!

Sticky Foods

When it comes to picking healthy sweet snacks, many will choose dried fruit, and they also fall into the category of worst foods for teeth.

As you know, dried fruits are sticky, and all sticky foods can damage your teeth because they tend to stay on teeth longer than other types of food.

We bet you all have felt those on your teeth, and eventually you end up washing and rinsing them, just to get rid of that stickiness glued.

worst foods for teeth

Crunchy Foods

There’s no person in the world who doesn’t fancy some tasty potato chips. But, loving that nice and satisfying crunch – falls into a category of the worst foods for teeth too.

Unfortunately, they are filled with starch which usually get trapped in your teeth.

Even though you know this information and you still choose to indulge these snacks, you need to take an extra care when you brush and floss, so you can remove all food particles left behind.

Sugary Drinks

If possible – skip all sugary drinks.

Consuming them for longer periods of time, enables plaque bacteria to use sugar from the drinks to produce acids, which in turn will attack your enamel surface (the hard surface of your teeth).

Most often, carbonated soft drinks, caffeinated beverages are acidic by nature and bad for your teeth, and can also dry out your mouth too.

In case you can’t resist consuming soft drinks, at least keep some water alongside to flush your mouth (and teeth) with it.

Alcohol consumption can cause dehydration and dry mouth, and most often people who drink excessively, may have saliva flow reduction over time, which usually leads to having tooth decay, and also other oral infections (gum disease).

Be aware if you abuse alcohol too much as it increases your risk for getting a mouth cancer.

Even though, this is everybody’s favorite snack, it can be “deadly” for your teeth and gums.

Because sometimes eating half-popped popcorn kernels can crack teeth, and not to mention those sneaky husk sliding into your gum creating inflammation.

Even worse, it can slide in-between teeth, and no floss can take it out unless you visit a dentist.

Therefore, be careful while eating them if you don’t want to end up with sore mouth and dental visit.

popcorn as worst food for teeth

Sweet Coffee Drinks

Almost everybody loves a good cup of coffee, and the variety of them has gone up to the roof.

Constant exposure to the milk and sugar, will make it difficult for the saliva to combat all those  sugars and acids produced by the bacteria in your mouth.

Saliva is known to be a great teeth protector, and if it is under constant sugar attack, over time, the salivary glands can fail to keep it up.

Even though you are a the biggest fan of coffee and no one can make you stop (even science), at least try to drink it less than usual or in moderate way.

Keep your teeth healthy and unstained.

Pumpkin Seeds

Although they are very healthy and contain a wide array of beneficial plant compounds known as phytosterols and free-radical antioxidants, they are proved not to be the best friends to your teeth.

People eat these seeds by cracking them open with their front teeth, which can easily cause chipping of the edges of your frontal teeth.

There are also cases when eating too many pumpkin seeds can trigger migraine headaches in some people. But, if you’re not prone to migraines, you probably won’t develop one.

Before you chip any tooth from cracking pumpkin seeds, check if they’re OK and not spoiled, because you don’t want to end up being exposed to free radicals, which are toxic compounds which can increase your risk of cancer, heart disease and other chronic illnesses.

Chewing Ice

Is there something worse than this? Ew, who chews ice these days??

You need to stop doing that because it’s teeth destructive, and you can cause stress fractures in you teeth.

If you still wanna do it, be aware that you can break a piece of your tooth, you know? Or even better, read this article – Top Reasons why you need to stop chewing ice and you’ll see why you need to stop doing it.

Energy Drinks

In a category of worst foods for teeth- energy drinks fall as well.

Energy drinks are super acidic, they have low pH values and high sugar content. Unfortunately, they are very popular among students which want to be up all night long – whether to study or party.

What’s worse, they coat all teeth and affect them equally, and if you are a “party animal” consuming these drinks for more than one occasion – be aware – as you may end up with a mouth full of cavities.

Not only you’ll suffer – but your wallet too when going to a dental office and cure the damage caused by negligence.

Sports Drinks

In a first place, most athletic drinks were created to re-hydrate athletes and replenish lost nutrients and electrolytes during heavy exercise.

However, even though they offer some health benefits, they are loaded with too much sugar.

Liquid sugars are notorious for causing cavities and are even more detrimental when introduced into a dry oral environment.

Try to avoid these unless you’re a high-performance athlete, and if you need to re-hydrate – do it with plain water.

sport drinks bad for teeth

Gummy Style Candies

All gummy-style candies should be avoided because they ruin teeth, and please don’t give them to your kids no matter how much they cry for them.

They are terrible for teeth in general because they stick to all areas of the tooth, and more acid gets produced by cavity-causing bacteria.

Barbecue Sauce

BBQ parties are always great for socializing, but DO know that your teeth will suffer.

How so?

Well, those sticky, red and delicious sauces are major factor for cavities to happen.

All barbecued meats are some of the worst foods for teeth because of caramelized sugar presence used in sauces.

But sauce isn’t the only problem. There’s possibility to crack your teeth on parts of the meat that may have over-caramelized.

By far, sugar is the worst enemy for teeth.

As you can see, many of your pleasures can cost you health, and consuming the worst ones –  may force you to become regular visitors to dental offices which in turn can cost a pile of money.

It’s up to you to choose whether you’ll still go along with your bad eating habits, or you’ll switch to much healthier ones.

It may interact with certain medications including clozaril, dipyridamole, ergotamine, phenylpropanolamine and theophylline and influence their effects on the body.

In addition to this, cocoa might also interact with drugs for asthma, depression and diabetes.

Consult your doctor before adding a new type of food, especially one with so many unique compounds into your diet.

But, if you are “walking” on the safe side – you can most certainly enjoy some of this magical drink.

A guilt-free, heavenly, flavorful and beneficial zip of cocoa is good for everyone!

Have You Written Your New Year’s Relationship Resolutions

Have You Made Your Relationship Resolutions

As the end of the year was approaching and most often people make resolutions, it wouldn’t hurt if you make some relationship resolutions for the this year as well.

There are so many ways to improve your relationship, and hopefully, these kind of relationship resolutions can work for you too.

Learn How To Play Together

By doing all sorts of activities together, couples get bonded.

Whether it is as rock climbing or riding a bicycle, such experiences increase the sense of closeness and relationship satisfaction.

As long as you are doing things together, you will experience sharing and mutual satisfaction whatsoever.

You know the old saying : “Couples that play together, stay together”

Develop A Sense Of Humor

Having a great deal of humor in a relationship is key to its longevity.

Couples can benefit from it so much, that usually conflict situations may end up in a big laughter after all.

Humor is stress relieving, it diffuses tension, allowing people to bring up topics that would be difficult to discuss otherwise.

Crack more jokes and you’ll be fine.

Get that sense of humor going!

Learn How To Listen

Not everybody knows how to be a good listener, but don’t worry. You can still learn it.

It is a skill that you need to improve in time, and believe us, if your partner see that you’ve learned to listen, you’ll have better communication whatsoever.

Try to understand and always remember another person’s message, and then respond accordingly to that message in an appropriate and effective way.

It’s maybe tougher than it sounds, but since listening is a skill, it can be improved ONLY through practice.

Say “I Love You” More Often

The most magical three letter word.

Who wouldn’t like to hear it more often?

The best of relationship resolutions by far!

Find Your Faith

There are times when you will lose your faith on your life path, but you really have to try to find it deep within you. It still resides there.

People are losing it over so many different things, they often forgot who they are. If you have faith in yourself and life in general, it is most likely you’ll have to find your faith in a true and meaningful relationship as well.

It isn’t so hard – you just need to open your heart a little bit more.

Faith will silently fill your heart and soul.

And you’ll just KNOW IT!

Forget The Cell Occasionally

Communication technology is crucial these days for maintaining social relationships, but it can interfere with intimate ones.

Do you know that staring all the time at your cell phone while you’re with the person you love, may ruin your relationship?

Simply lay down your phone on the table while talking to your partner.

Pay attention.

If you don’t do that, its visible presence can send a message to your partner that your attention could be diverted at any moment.

You wouldn’t like that to happen, would you?

Learn Forgiveness

It is by far the toughest thing in the world.

Learning how to forgive.

In close relationships, we sometimes hurt each other, intentionally or accidentally, and sometimes to forgive can be so difficult.

But it’s achievable.

You just need to feel it in your heart and to find inner strength to forgive.

Develop Better Communication Skills

Always try to talk about the strengths of your relationship.

Try to honestly express resentments you’ve been holding on for so long, and do it in a way that allows your partner to hear them.

Instead of avoiding conflict, create a constructive way to engage and resolve problems as a team.

Create “We Time”

Don’t forget your mutual beginnings, how funny it was and full of joy, until you got kids and other obligations interfere.

Create some “sacred time” for yourselves. You really need it to rejuvenate your love and passion all over again.

Have dates as you used to when you were just starting as a couple.

It is so much fun and it will bring back some good memories!

You’ll see!

Create Love Gestures

Nothing can bring a smile upon your face as a good gesture can.

Kiss each other every time you leave and every time you come home.

Call each other or text love messages during the day.

And don’t forget to cuddle every night before bed – you’ll sleep much better :)

Try New Things Together

Develop new hobbies in which you can participate together. This kind of bonding is irreplaceable.

It doesn’t matter if you go for ice skating, skiing, running, seeing a new museum, painting, or you have a dance class.

Be as creative as possible and create memories together.

It will spark your relationship even more.

This is the most important thing to remember. To laugh.

Laugh out loud and in every situations that requires it. Laughing will not only improve your health and well being, but your relationship too.

When creating your New Year relationship resolutions, don’t forget to get as creative as possible. Every little thing you add as a change, will refresh and strengthen your relationship even more.
