There are times when you prefer your own company rather then being with someone, and yes, self indulging moments are really necessary sometimes.
No, it isn’t shameful or egoistic.
Everybody needs its own space and its perfectly healthy and normal thing to do. And just for you to know, there are plenty of things you can do on your own and still have fun.

These solo activities will make you feel more powerful, independent and giving you better sense of control.

Hiking alone is a powerful way to get in touch with nature, let your thoughts wander off, or go through all the bad feelings you have lately.

Advise: When going hiking, choose a trail you know well, pack plenty of food,water and clothing, have a first-aid kit, and most important: leave a note to your friends(or family) of your whereabouts.

2.Visit A State Fair
Fairs are a great choice for a little bit of self indulging solo.
The unique sights, sounds, smells, and tastes can be better experienced on your own. You can freely get lost in the crowd and enjoy the fair goodness.
On the other hand, you can win your own prizes and eat whatever you like, without any judgement involved.
3.Go To The Cinema
For this one, you don’t always need a company. Going solo is just fine.
Watching a movie alone is a totally different experience than watching it with friends.
It starts with not having to compromise on which movie to see. And once you’re there, it will be easier to find a good seat when you’re looking for only one opening.

4.Check Out A New Restaurant
The experience of going solo for a lunch or a dinner, will drive a better experience of what you’re consuming. Such experience will allow to appreciate all those subtle flavors and scents in-and-around- FULLY.
Take your time to enjoy the whole sensory experience, and if you want to maximize the effect, don’t even think to play with pocket electronics AT ALL!
5.TLC Your Home
Why call the “Property Brothers” when you can do some changes on your own?
Paint the walls, or buy some flee market furnishing you can finish and re-do them by yourself. It can be quite fun, and you can find where your creativity was hidden all this time.
Just don’t put yourself into a position to hire more help than needed, because you wanted a major update of your home.
Go small, and see where are you heading to.
Sometimes, a couple of new colorful pillows, pads or blankets are all you need – if you want to make a small change.

6.Check Out Some Live Comedy Shows
Usually, live comedies are always fun to watch. Even if you had a “luck” to enter a bad one, still, it will give you something to laugh about.
Another benefit of going solo is that you can giggle to whatever you think is funny (being as loud as you like), without being judged by your friends for your weird laughter.
7.Visit A Church
Oh yes, the best place where going solo is 100% a perfect choice.
You and God.
And the silence present.
Religious traditions can be quite comforting and can provide a better way to relate to your family and friends every once in a while.
So yes, it’s worth it to go all on your own there.
And if you’re up for a change, you can try out different God’s temples: churches, mosques, synagogues and other houses of worship, and decide what is truly important to you.
8.Explore Your Limits-Try A New Hobby Class
Trying a new hobby is always a good thing, as it will bring up those forgotten skills you may have.
Whether it’s writing, painting, crafting, singing, sawing, knitting, dancing, public speech skills, gardening, cooking or whatever it is, polishing them up will bring you a great deal of joy.
You can choose between going solo or in a pair, however, doing both ways will bring only pleasant moments.
9. Go On A Trip

It’s always worth to get out of your comfort zone both physically and mentally, and to experience our beautiful world.
You will make new friends along the way, you will have better experience of the local culture and so much more.
Just make sure to take precaution measures to ensure your safety by doing research on chosen destinations and then, fully enjoy a vacation completely on your own terms.
10.Enroll To Yoga Or A Gym Class
You can go with a friend, but you can do it on your own too. The odds of making new acquaintances and possible new fitness friends are high, so do don’t be afraid of going alone.
