First steps of friendship starts in the kindergarten, when you enter that “scary” noisy room, full with unknown children.
Your parents are leaving you for the first time and you feel SO frighten.
Your mind is full of new thoughts.
Where am I?
Why am I here?
How much I’ll be here?
But after a while, you spontaneously start approaching to some of the kids.
And suddenly…it isn’t so scary…
Slowly and silently, new friends have entered in your life.
Suddenly, friendships in kindergarten begun to fade.
Because some of them enrolled in the same elementary school and some didn’t. And your best friends unfortunately didn’t.
You are sad.
You have to put yourself in a position to make new friendships… again??
What can you do…the same emotions from the unknown came back again.
But it is not a problem anymore.
You have lived once through them, and you’ll do it again.
And again, slowly and silently new friends have entered again in your life.
High School Friendship
Well, it is a different story now.
The unknown territory is not intimidating you anymore. You have built enough self esteem to make a presence.
Peace of cake.
You are discovering life and struggling your teenage wild hormones, annoying everybody at home.
But no worries.
It will pass.
In this stage of life you just enjoy being a teenager, with all the foolishness it brings.
Believe me,when you’ll get older, those are the days you will remember at most!
And again, slowly and silently new friends have entered in your life.
Let’s say you have matured enough to know which your obligations are. You start to feel the first obstacles in life, learning the term endurance and making acquaintance with your DESIRE to succeed.
Besides that, maybe a new love is knocking on your door, not realizing that it may be the love of your life.
Who knows what will college bring…
And again, slowly and silently new friends and LOVE have entered in your life.
Years Going By
As you have finished college and you got a job, you’ve distracted from your friends. They all went their pathways but you still have kept in touch with them somehow.
Luckily, your closest friends have remain in your hometown and you’ve shared all the things life has brought.
Good ones and bad ones.
You’ve chased life together.
Just one thing to say…True friendships never dies.
This is a poem dedicated to all my friends in tribute to our long lasting friendship.
Long live our friendship!
