Low Energy Levels
Today many people can say that they are feeling tired most of the time. And why is that? Let’s see.
Lack Of Sleep
Maybe it is so when your sleeping cycles and patterns are not in compliance. Either you have restless sleep and you are interrupting the sleeping cycles, either you have some health problems you are not aware of. Physical or psychological.
Sleeping cycles are approximately 75 to 90 minutes and each phase is correlated with a specific regeneration or detoxification of cells and organs throughout your body.
It has been found that disruptive REM sleep is associated with mild psychological struggles such as irritability and difficulty concentrating.
How to fix this
Research shows that sunlight can play a big role in it. How?
- Sunlight can decrease cortisol levels circulating through your body
- Good balanced diet and avoidance of processed foods can make a difference
- Supplements of potassium and Vitamin D can aid sleep

Poor Nutrients Intake
Your lack of energy could also be due to a lack of key nutrients. The main source of energy in our cells is something called adenosine triphosphate. Lack of magnesium.
Magnesium is responsible for over 300 enzymatic processes that help keep you energized and healthy. If you’re deficient in magnesium, that’s over 300 processes your body can’t effectively do.
The end result is you feel like a old and smelly sponge.
How to fix this
Magnesium is spent from your system pretty quickly because it’s involved in many processes. To ensure your magnesium levels are always up and working, make sure to eat 4-5 servings of magnesium-rich foods like spinach, pumpkin seeds and almonds every day. You can also consider adding in a magnesium supplement.
You Are Dehydrated
Feeling tired constantly? It may be so because you don’t drink sufficient water. Are you up to recommended 2 l per day? If not, please reconsider. Water is the main ingredient in our body and plays major role.
Metabolic processes will slow down and you will built up your body with toxins which are not flushed out regularly. And nobody wants that! It creates diseases within.
Drink a lot of water. Keep a bottle in front of you as a reminder to drink it more often.
Stress Is Wearing You Out
Maybe, being constantly tired is a result of an ongoing stress. Stress is one of the biggest culprits in our mental and physical energy crisis today and yet only 3 % of patients receive stress management counseling during a doctor’s visit. Something definitely needs to be changed.
How to fix this
First you need to stop caffeine and sugar intake. Breathing exercises that you have learned on your yoga class can be implemented now. Try massage therapy or start some Pilates class.Whatever works for you, just to lower the stress hormones.
Implement these just a few minutes per day. A simple 5-10 minute practice can buffer your brain and body against stress and ensure you have the energy to have the quality of life you deserve, without feeling tired.
