What Is Anxiety?
People often experience a general state of worry or fear before confronting something challenging (a test, public exposure, examination or even an interview).
These feelings are easily justified and considered being normal. Yet, anxiety is considered as a problem when symptoms interfere daily functioning.
Generally speaking, anxiety occurs when some reaction is out of proportion that might be normally expected in certain situation.
The question arising by it self is: What is causing these anxiety attacks?
Here will be described a couple of situations that might trigger anxiety, and it would be good if it is possible to avoid them, or at least lower their influence.
Nothing causes more stress and anxiety than worrying about money. The fear of not having enough, is everyday presence in our lives, and increase in financial obligations-causes even higher amount of anxiety.
- Try to make a budget upon which you will stick to
- Avoid unnecessary spending
- Talk with your partner
- Get reliable financial expert
The worst thing you can do is avoiding the issue or ignoring it. But remember, over analyzing isn’t going to help the situation in any way.
When we overthink stuff, we create emotional problems. We make up scenarios that aren’t even there and what is worse-we worry for not happened things.
Overthinking only creates fear. When we stress over things, we change our emotional stability. Usually this happens in the middle of the night when we cannot sleep and our mind wonders off.A LOT!
Night is a good time to try meditating. Take deep breaths and relax your body. Focus on something joyful.
Fear Of The Unknown
Who wants to live in uncertainty? No one.Trying to make decisions without knowing the outcome makes us feel helpless. People fear from many things and we are constantly “bombarded” with bad news that enhance the negative input from the external world.
Focus on YOUR life. Detach a little bit from the news. Instead- try yoga, hiking, swimming, or variety of other activities that can help you to refocus on what is really important in your lives.
Fear Of Confrontations
If you are peaceful by nature, surely you don’t want arguments and bad confrontations. Some of us do not take criticism easily. Confrontations can really be a trigger to anxiety disorder. Avoiding to confront the person you should, increases the fear even more.
If you want to avoid confrontation, setting some boundaries is crucial and it has never been and easy task. But, on the long run, it helps you to deal with the person causing you anxiety in a healthy “political” manner.
Fear Of Loosing Control
If you are by default a control “freak”, for sure you will have many anxiety attacks, if you think that things are slipping out of your hands.
The reality is that we have little control in anything in our lives. We only know this very moment. Anxiety as a disorder, feeds of ALL our fears.
Control is one of those triggers that is irrational, but cannot be ignored when you suffer from anxiety. It’s important to accept that control is not real. In a way, some medication for anxiety disorder can surely be of help, if you are in love with obsession to be in control.
What to do? Try some exercise, it can help. Go and breath-in the smells of nature. Get out from your everyday life so you can put things in perspective all over again.
If you are unhappy with your work,well, it can be a real problem. Being dissatisfied with your work can trigger also a depression.
When we are stressed at work, we begin to allow it to enter into other aspects of our lives. Many things are getting affected, such as relationships or even our health.
Be honest with with yourself. Do you like what you do? What would you like to do? Definitely you should:
- Follow your heart
- Talk to a therapist
- Talk to a job counselor
- Find out what matches your abilities
As we do spend more time at work than at home, make this an priority issue to be resolved. Find your dream work and enjoy. If you DO start your own business that you love-then you have a BINGO!
Fear Of Getting Old
Point one person who doesn’t fear from aging. There aren’t any. You cannot stop aging. All you can do is just to accept it and live with it.
We begin to age the moment we are born. But people do believe that they should do everything possible not to get old.
Guys,there is no “youth pill”. Accept that and move on. Live your life in its fullest. Breath-in changes and accept them. Enjoy the ride since aging is non stoppable process.
Fear Of Illness
Who want’s to get sick? No one, of course. But it catches us slightly or heavily. Can you imagine what people are going through when they have terminal diseases? You know, they try so hard to heal, that some of the pathways they go through the process can be so heavy.
I have a family member who had terminal illness diagnosed 10 years ago. Can you imagine the loads of anxiety and depression went through?
And you know what? She beat the cancer.Twice. That’s how determined she was to beat it. And I am so proud of her. We all are. God Bless!
Fear Of Relationships
Relationships can be very DIFFICULT especially if you are in the WRONG one. Anxiety and fear will take over you. Love isn’t difficult. But,WE, people,with our complex personalities, surely are making it to be SO.
If you are feeling constant anxiety with the person you are with, please reconsider or redefine your relationship. Listen to your intuition speaking to you. It is the only truth known. Honor your feelings.
But, if you are in an abusive relationship please remember that there are many ways to seek and find help assistance. You do not have to endure this alone. And stand up for yourself! You are most important in this!
One way or another, anxiety is playing a big part of lives. We are JUST humans. We worry, we stress, and we get depressed from time to time.
What we really should do is to work on our fears and understand their origin so we can fight them back. We can try reducing things that trigger all the fears within us.
Life is SO fragile and you should not have to face fears ALONE! I believe in all of us…we are all FIGHTERS and we should remain such!
