Body Or Brain
Our brain is the most important part of our body. It makes us who we are, how we act and how we live. Unfortunately, many people love just taking care of their physical bodies, ignoring the mental health. That is why we should learn what are the four essential activities that can make our brain healthier.
Observe What You Eat
The first thing you should know about the brain is that it’s made up of 60 percent fat. This means that the more good fat we can put into our bodies, the better it will be for our brain health. Some foods with good fat include:
- chia seeds
- pumpkin seeds
- sunflower seeds
- sesame seeds
- omega 3 reach eggs
- tuna steak
As this is a good brain food, loose the bad stuff you are digesting in (refined sugars).
Surround With People
By being around people you enjoy, your brain gets healthier. Your brain is sending “happy” signals for happy hormones to be released. When you’re laughing and smiling, your brain releases “feel-good” chemicals, such as Dopamine and you just can’t beet the feeling.
In a study published in the American Journal of Public Health, researchers reported that older women who maintained large social networks, reduced their risk of dementia and delayed or prevented cognitive impairment.
In other words put: create bonds and not walls. Bond together instead of isolating from one another.
New Language Maybe?
Keep your brain active by taking action in ways you’ve never thought you would. You can find a new hobbies like writing, learning to become a web master, starting your own blog or learning some new languages. It surely can be much fun.
By learning a new language you gain new skills:
- prevent your brain from brain diseases
- improve your focus
- boost your confidence
In fact, it is proven that learning a new language can prevent (or delay) Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia by 4.5 years. Good result ha?
The best way to learn a language is by speaking it with native speakers. For example, you can enroll in a student exchange program and go to Italy or other European or other World country, and practice and learn the language. This will allow you to learn it, while learning more about the different cultures of people around the world.
We all have time to learn something new, we just need to find it. We should definitely start making new priorities for for our self development.
Believe me, when you hit that unknown road ahead, it gets much existing of what you’ll accomplish later. You’ll amaze yourself from your own undiscovered possibilities within!
Maintaining a strong sense of purpose for the future is a necessity for keeping your brain alert and healthy. Age doesn’t matter. Really.
Some studies have shown that even when you take some simple activities such as simply planning a trip, higher levels of Dopamine are released in the brain. Feed your body with this Dopamine release. Make your brain as happier as possible. Make it active all along the way and you won’t regret.
By having something to look forward in the future, helps us to maintain our optimism levels, which is essential for our brain and overall health.
Improve yourself. Develop new skills and never stop learning. Make those little gray cells movin’.
It may just save your life!
