What Are Milestones
A milestone is a significant event in your life giving you life learning experience, and the term milestones literally refer to a roadside marker that lists the distance to a particular location.
These days, the word is more often used figuratively to refer to significant events in life that have left a big impact.
In order for us to achieve self-actualization, we need to achieve and experience many of them. Both positive and negative ones teach us important life lessons.
These are the most common nine milestones people experience in their life:
1.When You Hit The Bottom
If you hit a rock bottom at some point in your life, it can be one of the most important milestones in your life – if not the most significant one.
It will literally force you to find different ways to achieve inner and life fulfillment.
And you know what?
Some of the most remarkable achievements you can make in life are the achievements made after hitting hard the bottom.
You are naturally determined to lift yourself back up and find inner strength to do so.
If you are able to turn negativity in your life into a driving force to make a change, by default, you will be on the road to success in no time.
It’s always better to hit rock bottom sooner rather than later. Your early experience will lead you to what you are today.
Bless such experience!
Of course, at the time-being you will feel like the world is crashing down on you, and you may feel so alone or hopeless.
However, when looking back, you will realize that hitting rock bottom was the best thing that ever happened to you.
2.When You Fall In Love For The First Time
Is there more beautiful thing than love and when you felt it for the first time? Do you agree that falling in love is the closest thing to real magic happening?
But, first love brings first disappointments as well.
Yes, time heals all wounds, and if you were obviously meant to be with someone else – you will. There’s always someone for everybody.
You may change many life partners until you meet Mr. or Mrs. Right, but every love lesson learned and experience accumulated along the way, will define your view of yourself and your core values.
Broken hearts happen inevitably, and you better experience this sooner rather than later.
Time heals everything.
3.Understanding What Is Your Passion
Realizing what your passion is – is one of the most important milestones of self- achieving.
Sometimes, it will hit you like a light bulb, suddenly realizing what is your passion without even expecting it. People always say they are attracted to other people who are passionate about something.
Those people are initializing your inner spark to find your own passion.
But the problem is – sometimes we don’t know what our passion is.
Is it music?
What if you are not sure?
One of the greatest milestones in life is the moment you realize what your passion is and follow it without any doubt.
4.When You Graduate College
No matter how old you are, completing your college degree and receiving your diploma is one milestone that you will never forget, and a graduation ceremony is designed to make a long lasting impression.
Family and friends gather to share this important day.
Years upon years of hard work, you finally got a college degree, and yes, outside the campus, life is just waiting to show what it offers.
How you will play the cards given – is all up to you.

Yes. When you experience this for the first time it really hurts.
It feels like your life is over and you are lost, but you know what?
These things always happen for a reason.
You are maybe destined for bigger and better things, and that’s why the Universe is pushing you in whole another unknown direction.
If there are any lessons you can learn from such experience, make sure to take them with you to the next job, and use what you learned earlier, transferring it into your own success.
Maybe this happened so the Universe can open a clear path to your dream job elsewhere.
Be thankful for this experience as well.
6. When You Lose A Friend
Oh, how it hurts.
Especially if silly fight is involved.
And sometimes, you lose a close friend – for good.

Of course, marriage isn’t for everyone, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a BIG moment in some people’s lives.

Becoming a parent.
It is not only a new chapter in your life, but it’s a whole new book.

You can do whatever you wanna do.
You can decorate it however you want, invite who ever you want to invite, and in between – you’ll have a sense of security by having the first real asset in your life.
Having your own home means no longer throwing a ton of money down the drain every month to pay the rent, and you know what?
When you decide you’ve outgrown your first home – you will try to find something more suitable as changes will happen in your life.
