Airplane And Germs
If you are a germ-a-phobe then flying on airplane will be the most scariest place for you. Germs are lurking everywhere and you have that permanent urge to wipe your arms out constantly.
While you are on airplane what you should pay attention to NOT to do?
1.Forget About Walking Barefoot
How can you even think to do such a foolish thing? Do you now that maybe someone before you has vomited there, or was bleeding, or even food was spilled all over the place? Or maybe glass was broken and you might get cut if you walk barefoot?
Yes, there are people who are walking barefoot not being aware what they are picking upon their feet. So disgusting!
Never EVER walk barefoot on a plane!
2.Ice In My Drink? No Thanks, I’ll Pass..
Even though there are regulations regarding serving food and beverages on airplane, still, water tanks are old and surely they are not 100 % germ free!
Since ice cubes are made from the same water, it isn’t recommended to use them. Ask for bottled water instead!
3.If You Are On A Long Flight-Walk a Little Bit
Don’t seat all the time. If you are on transatlantic flight, surely you’ll get bored sitting and laying all the time. If possible, walk a little bit and stretch your legs so you can avoid deep vein thrombosis if you are prone to it.
Move around once every hour and of course – with your shoes on!
4.Avoid Wearing Contact Lenses
It is recommendable to switch to eyeglasses since the air dryness in airplane will dry out your eyes and you will have problems with your vision.
If you are sleepy bear, you can irritate your eyes if you fall asleep with your lenses on, that’s why you should use eyeglasses instead.
5.Forget Air Ventilation
Why to blow your head off and spread germs all over you?? And you might catch cold too, since the air in airplane can be cooler than usual.
If you are hot, it is better to take off you sweater than to germize yourself.
6.Dirty Tray Tables
When your meal will arrive and if by accident it falls on the tray – for God sake: DON’T eat it. Trays are not sterilized and you might catch something that will make you sorry for doing that.
Many things are carried on these trays, therefore you should consider to leave that bread or cookie crumb alone…
7.Blankets?? No Thanks!
It is another airplane item that doesn’t get a thorough cleaning between flights. Blankets and pillows which are offered, usually don’t get proper washed until the day is over.
Do you know how many people has been covered with them until they are washed? Some wrap up their bare feet or they sneeze on them. And that’s the perfect item to catch some virus on!
8.Minimize Usage Of Tap Water Made Drinks
You should avoid ordering tea or coffee. You never know if bottled water was used or a tap water. Even though water for tea and coffee is usually boiled – if you can stick with bottled water or another beverage from a sealed container, it will be perfectly OK!
Caffeine might dehydrate you and you’ll have to drink plenty of water – bottled of course!
Why to avoid it? Because of the thin airplane air…booze will hit you harder then being on the ground. If you combine that with the low humidity of the plane – you will get drying experience!
And again, you will seek for more water – AGAIN!
10.Don’t Flush With Hands – Use Toilet Paper Barrier
Don’t you ever touch that flush with bare hands! Are you sure that someone before you has washed their hands? When you do that, be sure to keep a toilet paper in your hand and then flush with it.
Don’t even use the towel to wipe your wet hands. If there is a hand drier – OK, if not, wipe them with a paper towel, it is much safer.
11.Avoid Soda Drinks
If you consume carbonated drinks, you might experience higher level of intestinal gas while increase in altitude, so you might reconsider consuming carbonated drinks in the clouds.
Keep your stomach calmed by drinking only bottled water.
12.Don’t Lean Your Head On A Window
Why not?? Because who knows who has been there before you, sneezing and coughing on it! If you would like to avoid any health hazard- stay away from them.
You can still sleep but not with your head lean on the airplane window. And of course – don’t fall asleep before the take off because it will be harder for you to equalize the pressure in your ears.
Just observe what people are doing on airplane and you will see what we are talking about!
